The absolute cutest little cafe we stopped at before heading to the zoo. Enjoyed the Avocado Toast *chefs kiss*, croissant bechamel, cortado, vanilla latte, and iced strawberry matcha. All the food and drinks were excellent. Have a back patio area with a chicken coop, that was pleasantly relaxing. Unfortunately the food took about 40 minutes. Not sure if that is normal, but the manager and cashiers were extremely nice and offered us a delicious chocolate cinnamon croissant for the delay.

I stopped by here for brunch since I was nearby. Cute spot, almost hidden, but a little off Broadway street behind the car wash place. I got the avocado toast with eggs and bacon, and a green tea latte. It was all good. They have plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for when the weather gets cooler.

We travel to San Antonio every 4-6 weeks and are always looking for new places to have coffee or breakfast. We had the French omelette, potato’s, toast, drip coffee and what they called the Texado (the Texas take on a the Spanish cortado) and the French toast. All the food was good and was cooked and presented well. We ended up setting on the back patio, which was nice and quiet (plus they had oscillating fans to help keep you cool). They also have a chicken coop at the back of the patio, which gave it a country backyard vibe. Definitely worth the visit and plan on going back again!

This place is absolutely beautiful! There is a gorgeous seating area, and as a quick heads-up, you can find extra parking right behind the building. It is the perfect spot to sit back and catch up with friends and family. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I highly recommend the fresh lemonade and the plain croissant. They even have a chicken coop in the backyard, which gives the whole place such a wonderful, natural vibe. I will definitely be back!

CommonWealth Coffeehouse & Bakery in Alamo Heights is an absolute favorite of mine! Nestled under beautiful, mature trees, it has such a charming and cozy atmosphere. The seating is comfortable with a small, intimate indoor space and a more spacious outdoor patio that’s perfect for enjoying the fresh air. It’s a great spot to relax or just unwind with a good cup of coffee. The food is truly outstanding—everything we ordered was amazing. The croissants are a standout, perfectly flaky and buttery, and they practically melt in your mouth. The quiche and crêpes were just as delicious—rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I can’t wait to go back again. If you’re looking for a beautiful setting with incredible food and pastries, this place is a must-visit! Five Stars ✨
